Corporate Tax

Dubai is the land of opportunities and the authorities are making continued efforts to encourage foreign investors and entrepreneurs to expand their businesses to new limits. In this regard, the authorities are set to introduce the corporate tax in Dubai from 1 June 2023. The UAE government has decided to introduce the corporate tax in order to bring the trade activities in UAE on a par with international standards. The new tax proposes zero percent rate on taxable income up to AED 375,000 and nine percent rate on taxable income above AED 375,000. According to the details shared by the government, corporate tax is not applicable on the following;

  • Individuals’ income from any business or employment not related to a trade or business in UAE
  • Foreign investors who have no business in UAE
  • Capital gains or incentives of a UAE business from its shareholding
  • On intergroup transactions
  • Incentives for companies based in free zones
